Distributing your aunt, maid of honor, and four friends from Hamburg across half the city ends up being more work than the seating chart. At Haus zum Wald, you get 18 apartments at one address. Your guests stay together, go out together, and all find their way back home the same way in the evening. This takes the most organizational burden off you as the bride and groom.
One house, one address, no distribution logistics
Our apartments range from the compact studio for two people to the spacious Grande and Grande Suite. This allows us to accommodate almost any group size: the bride and groom in the suite, the parents in the Grande, the friends in the studios.
Two variants have proven successful:
Room block on demand. We reserve a fixed number of apartments for your wedding. Your guests book and pay themselves using a keyword. You don’t have to pay anything upfront or keep a guest list. Unused apartments will be released on an agreed-upon date.
Exclusive occupancy. You book the entire house. Then you have complete privacy, without any other guests in the stairwell, and can organize the evening before and the morning after as you wish.

A breakfast that suits the morning after
You can add breakfast for your guests. We deliver it directly to the apartment as a breakfast box.
It sounds unspectacular, but it’s exactly what works after a long night. There’s no set breakfast time when everyone has to be downstairs. Those who wake up at seven have breakfast at seven. Those who don’t get out of bed until eleven will still find their box waiting for them. Nobody misses out on anything, and nobody has to make an effort for anyone else.
You can book breakfast for all guests or leave it up to each individual.
Arrive and come home whenever it suits you.
Our check-in process is contactless, using a payment code. There’s no reception that closes at 10 pm, and no one waiting.
For a wedding, this is the most practical feature of all. Guests traveling from the north and arriving at midnight can simply walk in. The same applies to guests returning from the celebration at 3 a.m. And on the day of departure, we are happy to arrange a later check-out so that Sunday morning doesn’t end at 10 a.m. Late check-out until 2 p.m. Price upon request.
Parking is available directly at the venue. We can also arrange a shuttle service to and from the location upon request, ensuring everyone gets home safely and no one has to go without their drink.
